BOSS’s original Katana-Artist (MkI) is the flagship Katana combo built for stage and studio players who want big, punchy “amp feel” with modern flexibility. It delivers 100 watts through a premium 12” Waza speaker and a rugged, semi-closed cabinet design for tight low end and strong projection.

You get five core amp characters (with additional variations) plus deep built-in effects—ideal for covering clean, edge-of-breakup, classic rock crunch and heavier gain sounds without a huge pedalboard. For real-world volume needs, Power Control lets you keep the tone and response at lower levels.

For gigging and recording, the Katana-Artist includes Tone Setting memories, BOSS Tone Studio editing, and an effects loop that can be configured (including series/parallel options via software). It also supports external control with the GA-FC and other footswitch/expression options, making it a killer one-amp solution for working guitarists.
