Don’t let the simple layout fool you — the Mr. Black JDS-50 is built for touch-responsive, tube-amp style overdrive, moving from tight, dynamic crunch to thick, harmonic drive and even near-full distortion, while still letting the character of your guitar (or bass) come through.

Later 2019+ models also support optional 18V operation (9V standard) for extra headroom, clarity and dynamic response — great if you like a firmer low end and more “amp” feel under the fingers.
